At twelve years old, Maggie found herself at HALO after her lifelong owner had to move into assisted living. For a senior dog, the sudden loss of a home can be devastating, but HALO stepped in to ensure her golden years remained bright. Instead of the stress of a traditional kennel, Maggie was placed into our dedicated foster network, where she could nap on a soft rug and receive the gentle care she deserved.

Because of our commitment to being a "safety net," we were able to provide Maggie with the specialized senior bloodwork and dental care she needed to feel her best. It wasn't long before a wonderful family looking for a "calm companion" saw her silver muzzle on our website. Today, Maggie spends her afternoons sunbathing in a private backyard, a testament to how HALO protects those who are often overlooked.
